Corabel

It is of French origin. It grows very lush and quite upright, forming a beautiful tree or even a bushy canopy. The yield is medium to abundant. It is fairly resistant to the hazelnut gall mite and moderately sensitive to nut weevil. Blooms and buds very late. The fruit is very large, roundish and looks attractive. When ripe, it falls out of the green envelopes. The shell is a beautiful dark reddish-brown colour with a slight pressure. Kernels are round to moderately compact and are moderately easy to roast.
