Mila

This is a new Slovenian variety. It buds late, two to four days before the Franquette variety, and is not susceptible to late frosts in spring. It is somewhat susceptible to walnut blight and walnut anthracnose The tree is of medium vigour, slightly upright growth, medium foliage. The variety is laterally bearing and bears regularly. The fruit is medium to large. The shell is thin and smooth, tight-fitting, with a thin seam, light brown in colour. The kernels have a light colour and are easy to remove from the shell. It can be grown in gardens and plantations in all Slovenian cultivation areas.
