Krka

This is a Slovenian variety. Budding up to nine days before the Franquette variety. It is very resistant to winter cold and moderately sensitive to late frosts in spring. It is little to medium sensitive to walnut blight and walnut anthracnose. It flowers homogamously and is pollinated with its own pollen. Fruiting is lateral, early, abundant and regular. The shells are small to medium sized and have a nice round shape. It has a light-coloured, slightly furrowed shell that is firmly attached at the seam. The kernel is light and breaks out easily It grows well in the wine-growing areas, in Primorje and in the upper parts of the slopes of the Slovenian mainland.
