Fernette
This is a French cross between the Franquette and Lara varieties. It buds in the last days of April. It is resistant to spring frosts and very little susceptible to walnut blight and walnut anthracnose. It bears fruit very early and is very fruitful as it bears fruit on lateral buds. The fruit is slightly elongated, mediumsized, with a well-seamed, light-coloured and rather wrinkled shell. The kernel is very light in colour, easy to remove and of excellent quality. It can be grown anywhere in Slovenia.
